Exceptional Steaks and Grilled Perfection

At the heart of Hungry Farmer Steak House is, of course, the steak. The restaurant specializes in hand-cut, aged steaks that are grilled to perfection. One of the standout features of the steak selection is the signature seasoning used at the restaurant. The blend of spices and herbs creates a mouthwatering flavor that perfectly complements the rich, meaty taste of the steak. Whether you like your steak with a simple seasoning or prefer it paired with one of the restaurant’s homemade sauces, you won’t be disappointed.

Visited Hungry Farmer on a Friday for lunch, as my husband was feeling nostalgic--he used to work at their Universal City location in high school, which has since closed. We were greeted warmly and seated promptly. A huge salad was served followed by our orders of chicken-fried steak and a regular steak. The bread was fresh and warm, though fairly standard. The chicken-fried steak was good and impressively large, as was the steak--definitely portions big enough to share among three people. Overall, I'd rate the food around three stars. It was decent, but nothing particularly standout. If you want a lot of food this is the place to go. Definitely get your dollars worth.

Salad is very good but has no tomatoes . They bring you a salad without you ordering. They will charge you for the salad if you don't order a plate of food. They don't have a beer license but have many beer signs on the wall. They don't have bleu cheese dressing but they do have a green garlic dressing that was very good. The fish which was tilapia was very good. The popcorn shrimp was good too. The fried okra was good too. The bread rolls were soft and warm. I ordered a coke after I found out they didn't sell beer or wine.
